How FCR is calculated
FCR = feed kg ÷ live kg. Count all feed delivered minus what is left in store, and all live weight including birds sold earlier in thinning. Below 1.5 is very good, 1.5 to 1.8 is fair and above 1.8 needs work. Read our FCR guide for what moves it, and the EPEF calculator to combine it with mortality, weight and age.
